Dr Johannes and Hertha Tuba Research Funding
On behalf of the Dr Johannes and Hertha Tuba Foundation, the Medical University of Innsbruck invites applications for projects in the fields of gerontology and geriatrics (ageing research). This is a project-related research grant, which is exempt from reimbursement, in accordance with paragraph 27 UG 2002.
Funding amount:
100,000.00 euros to fund one outstanding project in the field of ageing research.
Project duration:
Maximum of 3 years
Funding conditions:
Scientists from the Medical University of Innsbruck must act as project managers. Express reference is made to the possibility of cooperation with other Tyrolean medical institutions, which should intensify research collaboration between the university and hospitals, medical practices and similar. Funding is provided for innovative projects in the area of basic medical research and application-oriented research and developments on subjects relating to old age and ageing (prevention, diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation), the results of which make an appreciable contribution to improving the situation of people in old age.
The objective is the direct promotion of science and the research activities of scientists at the highest level.
The following project costs can be requested:
- Personnel costs
- Equipment costs
- Material costs
- Contract costs
- Travel expenses
- Other costs (e.g. costs for the use of core facilities, costs of fees for test subjects, costs for the external performance of project-specific work)
