Co-Registration
Students who are duly enrolled at an Austrian university have the option, in accordance with § 63 sec. 9 of the Universities Act, to attend individual courses at another Austrian university under the co-registration scheme, provided that the desired course is not offered at their home university and the relevant academic body grants approval.
However, the following points should be noted:
- Co-registration can only be registered during the general admission period; it is NOT possible to register for co-registration after the admission period.
- Enrolment must be renewed each semester during the general admission period by submitting a renewal application via i-med.inside.
- Attending courses without a valid right to enrol is not permitted. Certificates (e.g. academic transcripts) cannot therefore be issued.
- Students must register for the approved courses themselves.
To enrol as a co-enrolled student for the first time, you must present your current record of studies from the Medical University of Innsbruck and your StudentCard to the Student Affairs Office at the University of Innsbruck during the enrolment period.
Once your documents have been checked, you will be accepted as a co-enrolled student at the University of Innsbruck and will receive the login details to activate your account on LFU:online.
You must renew your co-enrolment every semester within the enrolment period. To do so, simply send an informal email from your student email address to the Student Affairs Office with the subject line ‘Renewal of joint enrolment’, attaching your current study record for the relevant semester.
