Girls‘ Day
It is a special concern of ours to encourage young women to consider a career in medicine. Therefore, the Medical University of Innsbruck organizes an event annually on the day of international Girls‘ Day, which aims to appeal to young girls and women.

What is the purpose of Girls‘ Day?
On average, young women have better school qualifications and grades. However, they do not fully utilize their career opportunities. More than half of female trainees still choose one of only ten vocational training professions. Not a single medical, technical, or scientific profession is among them. Therefore we want to give girls an insight in diverse medical careers.
