Executive Vice President for Digitalization, Finance and Sustainability Irene Häntschel-Erhart

The following departments report to the Executive Vice President for Digitalization, Finance and Sustainability:

 

Mag.a Dr.in Irene Häntschel-Erhart

Irene Häntschel-Erhart earned her doctorate in Business Informatics at the University of Linz in 1997, where she began her professional career, initially as a research and teaching assistant and later as head of two competence centers and lecturer. She also gained several years of experience in the private sector, including work as an independent business consultant and as head of various divisions within a logistics corporation. In 2019, Häntschel-Erhart returned to higher education, taking on responsibility at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences as program director for the two master’s programs in Business Administration and Business Informatics – Digital Transformation, as well as for the bachelor’s program in Computer Science – Digital Innovation. In 2023, she was appointed Executive Vice President for Digitalization and Sustainability at the University of Innsbruck. Since October 2025, Häntschel-Erhart has been serving as Executive Vice President for Digitalization, Finance and Sustainability as part of the new presidential team at the Medical University of Innsbruck.
